Morocco is a country with everything you’ll find in the more typical Mediterranean destinations of Europe with many African extras thrown in, and a price tag that’s much more forgiving to strained wallets. I’m going to let you in on five of my top Moroccan favorites, but don’t stop at just these five. These are mere spots to get you started on your Moroccan exploration.
1. Marrakech
Situated north in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech is a frenetic city with a huge medina, and among the most favorite Morocco tourist attractions. There’s a lot of things to do here, coming from visiting the central square of Djemma El-Fna to the El Badi Palace, and shop around the bustling souks or bazaars.

If you are a fanatic in the arid desert scenes in some Hollywood movies, then you’ll be happy to know that a few of your favorite desert classics could have been filmed in Morocco at some point. Morocco has always been a favorite for Hollywood directors since the ‘60s, and the town of Ouarzazate is the center of all. So now you are aware why this city is among the best places to visit in Morocco!

Rabat is Morocco’s capital and one of the best tourist destinations in the country. The city now has a new section, consisting of wide boulevards and outdoor cafes, as well as the old town or medina, within the fortified walls. This place is a must-visit when you are in Morocco!

4. Sahara Desert
